Confidentiality and Ethics

Before an assignment is commenced, specific confidentiality policies are established with the Client. It is understood that there is a great amount of delicate information that the Client shares. Both Clients and Candidates need to understand and respect that there is a demand for mutual confidentiality and sensitivity.

Client Side

When Candidates are approached, the Clients name is not disclosed until the Candidate has shown interest in the opportunity, been interviewed and in turn has been accepted by the Client onto the 'long list'. Only then is the Clients name disclosed to the Candidate.

Candidate Side

None of the roles are advertised and there are no internal databases or external lists. The majority of prospective Candidates that are approached, are referred. They are generally very successful in their existing roles and not necessarily thinking about a new one. However, they all have one thing in common, they are career minded individuals and therefore willing to listen to an opportunity if approached sensitively by a professional consultant. It is understood that if an individual is prepared to open up initial discussions with another Company, it is a very sensitive time. Therefore Candidates are only presented with their permission and in confidence, so their name or present Company is not disclosed. Their professional background is presented, their experience, their suitability, professional and personal qualities. Once the Candidate has been presented in confidence to the Client and the Client has accepted the Candidate on the 'long list', the Candidate will be informed whom the Client is and when the Candidate accepts to go forward for an initial discussion, the Client is informed whom the Candidate is and their present Company.

It is understood that talking about an opportunity in an office environment is generally not conducive to openness and frankness, therefore discussions are often held during the evening or at weekends, whichever the Candidate feels most comfortable with and fits in with their personal commitments.
